Our Foundational Beliefs

The Bible

We believe that the Bible is true and trustworthy, tells us the big story of God's work in history and still speaks to us today. It helps us to make sense of who God is, who we are, and how life can be lived to the full.

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus is God and shows us what God is really like - full of love, truth and compassion. Through his life, death and resurrection, he brings forgiveness, hope and a new life to everyone who trusts him. 

The Holy Spirit

We believe that God is present with us and at work in the world today through the Holy Spirit, bringing comfort, courage and change. He helps us experience God's love and become more like Jesus every day.

These are just a few of our beliefs in Life Church Hyde. As a pioneer church in the Elim Pentecostal Movement, we hold to a wider set of beliefs known as Elim's Foundational Truths. You can read these here.
